FranceThere are seven dominant grape-growing regions in France including familiar names like Alsace, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, the Rhone Valley, Languedoc-Roussillon, the Loire Valley and Provence. It is no wonder that France is synonymous with so many of the grape varietals known worldwide.
If you leave Paris for Normandy you will find a rich, rolling countryside with apple orchards and cider production. Moving on to Brittany you will encounter France's second largest cider producing region.

Mushroom Cork with Wire Cage | | | | | | | | Emmanuelle Baillard Chardonnay Grape Juice, France
Emmanuelle Baillard fruit Nectars are stunning reflections of the very best flavors fruit has to offer. This grape juice is made exclusively from the finest Burgundy Chardonnay grapes. With careful selection and preservation, production methods that balance the traditional with the modern, and a small business model that allows them to work directly with farmers, they are a very impressive producer. The proof however, is most certainly in the bottle. Emmanuelle Baillard's chardonnay has a clean and not-too sweet flavor that strikes us as more delicate and complex than many other grape juices.
AWARD WINNER: Recipient of Medaille de Bronze at the 2010 Paris Concours General Agricole competition. | | French Sparkling Cider, Duche de Longueville
The Normandy region of France is home to one of America's best-loved international ciders. Duche de Longueville comes from a 50-year-old orchard near Dieppe, France where 15 carefully chosen apple varieties are used to produce this exquisite cider. Many of America's finest restaurants honor Duche de Longueville by offering it as the only non-alcoholic option on their wine lists. My favorite steak house will provide you with a bottle for $35. We offer it at a more reasonable price!

Mushroom Cork with Wire Cage | | Roland Sparkling Apple and Blackcurrant Juice
Blackcurrants are the king of the so-called "SuperFruits." They are amazingly healthy and loaded with phytonutrients. The fruit contains more antioxidants that most other fruits including pomegranate and blueberry, four times the Vitamin C of oranges, more potassium that bananas, plus calcium, iron, manganese, magnesium and more. This juice, bottled in France, combines blackcurrant with apple cider (which the French have perfected). You'll be surprised that healthful living could taste so good!

The Perigord region of France is actually four distinct regions identified by a color. Périgord Pourpre (Purple), one of four, is so named because of the grape juices produced by the local vineyards. It is also the major producer of France's Verjus. Castelmuro's golden Verjus has found its way from the kitchens of France to the chefs of America. Try a bottle and you will see why.
