Purple Paradise Grape Juice, Iowa Grape Vines
The Iowa Grape Vines plant nursery and Juicery are examples of a transformation taking place in the heart of corn and soybean country. Established in 2001 by Jim & Mary Kay Sorensen, the nursery now boasts more than 40 varieties of grapes suited for Midwestern weather challenges. The Juicery was opened in 2006 and today produces truly unique gourmet varietal juices. Purple Paradise, for instance, blends Bluebell and Chancellor grapes.

The unripe grapes from the harvest were combined with a small amount of carbonation to create a new option for gourmet chefs. Though the taste is crisp, some enjoy the juice as an alternative to lemonade. Due to its limited production, you will want to order Draper's Verjus sooner rather than later!
